How event volunteers help

Event volunteers make workshops, family celebrations, flagship programs, and holiday support run smoothly.

Common responsibilities

Set up and break down event spaces, welcome attendees, assist with registration, serve food or refreshments where applicable, support activities, engage attendees, market or promote events when asked, and follow direction from event leads.

Time commitment

Event volunteers are asked to commit to at least three hours. Participation on an event planning committee may require larger time commitments over several months.

Direction and confidentiality

Event volunteers work under the direction of the event committee, staff, and lead volunteers. Volunteers may encounter confidential information and must be willing to protect privacy and follow confidentiality expectations.

Age and team assignment

Event volunteers should be 18 or older unless pre-approved by event management. Volunteer positions may be assigned to teams based on event needs.
