On Good Morning America, May 2026

On May 8, 2026, Good Morning America surprised Rose as the 2026 Mother's Day "Breakfast in Bed" honoree at Taylor-Brawner Park in Smyrna. Mayor Derek Norton declared the day Rose Diggs Day. Keri Hilson performed. Usher sent a video message. And Equifax, Straight Talk Wireless, Mattress Firm, and Skechers stepped forward to support Down 7 Up 8's mission. The door Rose kept opening

Rose Diggs did not begin with a strategy deck, a campaign, or a slogan. She began with a home. For more than a decade, Rose has provided short- to medium-term housing for children entering or moving through foster care.

From one home to a wider village

In 2016, Rose founded Down 7 Up 8 Incorporated to extend the work beyond what one household could carry alone. That mission became tutoring, life-skills learning, mentorship, parent training, Holiday Hearts, and flagship events.

Recognition rooted in service

In 2024, the Cobb Chamber's Smyrna Area Council named Rose Smyrna Citizen of the Year. Recognition helps more people see what Rose has known for years: children need safe homes, caring adults, consistent programs, and community.
