Programs

Holiday Hearts

The program provides Christmas gifts, clothing, shoes, and pajamas to children who need support during the holidays.

Who this is for

Holiday Hearts supports foster children, children and families facing financial hardship, children in family preservation situations, and families who need extra support during the holiday season.

What happens

Families may apply or be referred through the annual Holiday Hearts process when applications are open. Down 7 Up 8 works with donors, volunteers, and community partners to collect and deliver Christmas gifts and essentials such as toys, clothing, shoes, pajamas, and age-appropriate care items.

How volunteers help

Legacy Holiday Hearts materials describe a seasonal workflow where volunteers help sort gifts, pack items, organize family pickup, and support end-of-day packing. Exact dates and shifts are updated each year.
