Down 7 Up 8

A foster mother and her village

Down 7 Up 8 began with Rose Diggs opening her home. Today, it is a community-powered nonprofit helping Georgia children build confidence, skills, and hope.

How Down 7 Up 8 began

Down 7 Up 8 Incorporated was founded in 2016 by Rose Diggs, a foster mother who has provided short- to medium-term housing for more than 300 children over 11 years. Her home has included six sibling groups who stayed together for two years or longer.

Mission

Down 7 Up 8 develops, curates, and carries out programs and activities that enhance the lives of fostered, adopted, underprivileged, and at-risk children through community involvement. The organization designs practical programs that help children build confidence, skills, and hope in partnership with the families and communities raising them.
