Princess for a Day & Boys to Men

Participants experience mentorship, etiquette, life lessons, activities, celebration, and community care.

Who this is for

Princess for a Day and Boys to Men serves foster, adopted, and at-risk children and young people. Current program materials describe Boys to Men as serving boys and young men, ages 4-21, with age-appropriate tracks for younger boys and older youth. Legacy Princess for a Day materials describe service for girls ages 3-19 in foster, adoptive, kinship, and grandparent caregiver settings.

What happens

This flagship event is designed to help children and young people feel celebrated, confident, and connected to community through mentorship, etiquette, life lessons, formalwear, activities, personal care, and community support.

Princess for a Day experience

Legacy event materials describe makeovers, hair, makeup, nails, dresses and accessories to keep, tea-time refreshments, music, dancing, entertainment, self-defense and safety awareness, and space for teen girls to connect with successful businesswomen.

Boys to Men experience

Legacy event materials describe dressing for success, learning how to tie a tie, social awareness, etiquette, Super-Hero Academy activities for younger boys, mentorship, and Q&A with successful entrepreneurs, professionals, community personalities, and other positive male role models.

Sponsor a child's day

Sponsorship helps cover meals, attire, personal care, supplies, event space, activities, and the details that make children feel honored and cared for. Community partners may also support formalwear, business attire, accessories, storage, food, activities, or services.
